Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) is part of the Terms of Service. It protects the service, our customers and the people whose data may appear in a course.
1. Prohibited content and activity
You must not use SCORM Craft to upload, process, store or distribute:
- content that infringes copyright, trademark, trade secret, privacy, publicity or other rights;
- malware, ransomware, spyware, phishing, credential-stealing or other harmful code;
- content that is illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, defamatory, harassing, hateful or exploitative;
- child sexual abuse material, content that sexualises minors, or content that facilitates human trafficking;
- personal data you are not authorised to process, or special-category data without a lawful basis and appropriate safeguards;
- content that violates sanctions, export controls, anti-corruption or anti-money-laundering laws;
- content that impersonates a person or organization in a misleading way;
- content used to make automated high-stakes decisions about individuals without human review and a lawful basis.
You must not attempt to access another customer’s content, probe or scan the service, bypass rate limits or paywalls, reverse engineer the service, introduce malicious code, overload the infrastructure, scrape data, or use the service to build a competing product. You must not resell the service without a written agreement.
2. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the lawfulness, accuracy, accessibility and quality of Customer Content, for all notices and consents required for learner or employee data, and for testing the rebuilt package before delivering it. You must keep your account email secure and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. If you process personal data of others, you are the controller and must have a lawful basis and a compliant privacy notice.
3. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations, remove or disable content, suspend or terminate access, and preserve or disclose information where required by law. Where reasonable, we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue. Serious violations, imminent harm, or legal requirements may result in immediate action. You are responsible for the consequences of your content and use.
4. Authoring-tool licences and watermarks
You must not upload a trial, evaluation, unlicensed or infringing SCORM package, or use the service to circumvent an authoring tool’s licence restrictions, expiry, seat limits or technological protection measures. You must not remove or alter copyright notices, watermarks, attribution or copyright management information from third-party content unless you have the right to do so and applicable law permits it. You are responsible for complying with the authoring tool’s terms. We may remove or suspend content and report suspected violations.
5. Reporting abuse
Report abuse, infringement or security concerns to abuse@scormcraft.app or security@scormcraft.app. Include the course URL or ID, a description of the issue, and your contact details. We may ask for evidence of rights or authority. Good-faith reports are welcome; knowingly false reports may violate the Terms.
6. Changes
We may update this AUP to address new risks or legal requirements. The current version is posted here. Material changes will be communicated as described in the Terms.
